“Artizar” was created by Itsasmendi winery, with the aim of creating and sharing the magic of Txakoli, disseminating the culture of this ancient heritage and of other unique wines through nature, culture and history by means of unique experiences, events, food and wine activities, and training courses.
The commitment to innovation we’ve displayed during these 25 years is taking a new leap forward with the creation of a space full of magic where you can enjoy a wide range of wine tourism experiences under the brand name “Artizar”.

A unique location
We’re based in Gernika, in the heart of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, giving us an authenticity in the destination and the clear objective of generating value in the local community through an associative ecosystem.
The Amunaga river divides the municipalities of Gernika and Mujica, running through an ancient oak forest that is home to a great wealth of highly diverse landscapes. Under the watchful eye of the Oiz mountains, Anboto, Anteiglesia de Lumo or the hermitage of San Miguel, where mythology and history provide us with simple stories.
Throughout history, this area has been the site of those activities most closely linked to our territory, such as winemaking itself in the 17th and 18th centuries (drone photo with the handwritten name on the plots of land goiko mahastie barreneko mahastie, old press, farming (hayloft) and even the manufacture of tiles AND WHERE THE NATIVE FAUNA AND FLORA bring us the harmony and tranquillity that we need to fully enjoy nature.
